Dates are set for Earthy Things Made Even! Mark your calendar!

SWSSP is partnering with sculptor Charlie Mostow, a Seattle native now living in Brooklyn NY.  Mostow is currently working on artwork for the production of our upcoming show "Earthy things made Even". Charlie is creating several lifelike components for the 8 foot carnival puppet featured in one of our dance pieces.
 Check out the progress! Looking forward to debuting this multi-media production Sunday May 28th at Folklife Festival, 3:25, Mural Amphitheater!

New Upcoming Project:

The SWSPP has been awarded a City Arts Grant by the Seattle Office of Arts and Culture to create a 30-40 minute suite of original music and dance with over 25 participating women musicians, dancers and other artists. The grant amount is for $5600 and while generous, it is not enough to meet our budget of $15,000. Our fundraising goal now is $10,000. We need proper funding to cover production costs for sets, costumes, construction of an 8’ tall carnival puppet, transportation, promotions and fair compensation for all participating artists.

Beginner Series Starting Monday February 6th

The Seattle Women's Steel Pan Project will be hosting another beginner steel pan class series starting Monday February 6th through March 13th

Come learning the basics of how to play caribbean steel pan in this fun 6 week series. No musical background/experience required. For women and girls of all ages!
